Success!

Well, I don't know how it got here, but with two of my daughter's help I have successfully uploaded a photo of a door decoration, the inspiration from a post on http://imquilternity.blogspot.com/  I faithfully follow Terri's blog and am always inspired by her wonderful photos, fabulous fabrics and great ideas for holiday and seasonal decorations.  If you're not familiar with her blog, please go over and take a peak.  You'll be hooked.

Success

Well, I have no idea how this photo successfully appeared because the entire process was different from the method I used last night to insert the photo of my dog.  In any case,this is a quilt I recently finished, although it's been about four years in the making.  I had the entire top done and it just needed the binding.  I'm resolved to finish some of my UFOs.  Shameful, but some only need the binding.  I do the binding by machine.  If I were to enter it into competition of sone kind then I would do the binding by hand but these are for use in my hone.  It's from a kit I purchased from the Portsmouth Fabric Company at the quilt show in Lowell, Mass.  I have a fondness for their fabrics--mostly brights.

Ok, I'm still trying to figure out how to upload photos from my camera to my MAC.  This is a test.  We'll see what happens.  BTW, if successful this is my best friend--Ferdy, short for Ferdinand.  We also had another dog named Maximilian, the best, sweetest, Rottweiler in the world.  He has since passed away.  Hopefully my downloading has been successful and I'll be good to go from now on.

photo help needed

No matter what I do I can't get my photos to upload using my new MAC.  Help.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Finishing up

I've had my new MAC about a month or so now and I'm still in the novice stage.  Hopefully I'll be able to download two photos of a project I've been working on for over a year.  It's an original design of what I envision an African plain to be, though I've never been there.  The piece was begun in a class with Teresa Fusco, whom I've mentioned before--one of my favorite teachers.  I'm constructing the camel (and a few more animals that I haven't started yet) using techniques I learned in a three day workshop with Susan Carlson in Harpswell, Maine last summer.  Hopefully I can successfully post them.  Not sure where they'll appear--before or after the text.

New computer

Hi.  I just purchased a new computer.  An IMac.  I'm not a big fan of laptops so this is a desktop.  I'm slowly learning the ins and outs of using it.  If anyone  can offer any support, that would be great.  My next step is to download my pictures from my old PC to a thumb drive and then upload them to the Mac.  Anything I should be concerned about or process I should try.  Totally different but I'm loving it so far.
